WUFA Faculty Council 2016-2017, 2018. We thank you for your service to the Faculty Association.

WUFA is proud to announce that Brian E. Brown, School of Creative Arts, has been named the 2016 recipient of the Charles E. Brooks Award.

A solidarity rally was held in Leamington on August 31, 2016 in support of the Essex Library workers, who are now on their 68th day of strike action.

On August 24th Arbitrator Pamela Piche issued her ruling in our policy grievance against the administration in the matter of the independence of the Pension Plan’s actuary, Mercer.

WUFA members are concerned about the lack of independence between the Administration and Mercer, the pension plan actuary. Our pension plan requires the actuary to be independent of the Administration. Nonetheless, the Administration hired Mercer to provide it with private collective bargaining advice during the 2011 round of negotiations.

Ontario universities and faculty associations are anxiously awaiting the government’s decision on the new funding formula for post-secondary education.

The Faculty Association is proud to announce that Dr. Anne Forrest, Women's and Gender Studies is the 2016 recipient of the "Mary Lou Dietz Equity Leadership Award."

Who we are. What we do. Why it matters. These are the themes of the renewed WUFA website. We are excited to feature the multi-faceted ways in which the work of WUFA members contributes to the growth and development of the University of Windsor and in our community. We believe that this work, and the faculty who perform it, deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

Advocacy, fairness, support, collectivity: when WUFA Council members describe the organization, these terms arise over and over again. From across the University's various faculties and programs, Council members emphasize the vital importance of the Faculty Association for the wellness and betterment of the University of Windsor.
