The Retirement and Benefits Committee addresses issues relating to: (a) the University of Windsor Retirement Plan for Faculty and Certain Employees; (b) benefits for members under the Collective Agreement; and (c) providing advice and/or recommendation to the Contract Committee, the Executive Committee and/or Council.
The Retirement and Benefits Committee has the responsibility for coordinating the work of the Association Committees concerned with pension and retirement benefits and reports annually to the membership regarding these activities.

The purpose of the Subsidy plan is to provide premium subsidies for the retired members of the Association who subscribe to the Health Care Plan for Retired Members. The Retiree Healthcare Subsidy Committee reviews the plan’s performance and updates on subsidy fund finances.

-The D.2 Committee looks at the health of the Pension Plan. The Committee meets with the plan actuary from time to time to discuss actual and projected valuations of the pension plan.

The D.7 Committee examines the adequacy of the retirement plan benefits provided by the University to former faculty members and librarians who have retired under the University of Windsor Retirement Plan for Faculty and Certain Employees, and they recommend changes to the Pension Plan to ensure compliance with legislation regarding the abolition of mandatory requirements.
