MEMORANDA OF AGREEMENT - Establishment of the University Diversity, Indigeneity, and Anti-Racism Professional Development (PD) Funds Committee
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY DIVERSITY, INDIGENEITY, AND ANTI-RACISM PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (PD) FUNDS COMMITTEE
During negotiations for the 2021 collective agreement renewal, the parties discussed their shared commitments to the ongoing work of justice, equity, Indigeneity, anti-oppression, and inclusion needed to promote anti-racist and decolonized frameworks in scholarship and teaching to advance the core principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
In relation to the creation of the University Diversity, Indigeneity, and Anti-Racism Professional Development (PD) Fund, the following commitment will be met;
- The Vice-President, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (VP EDI) in consultation with the President of the Faculty Association and the Windsor University Faculty Association Racial Justice Committee, shall establish a diverse working group to develop the framework that will guide the implementation of Article U. The Vice-President, EDI will chair this working group as well as the committee established in Article U.
- The working group will develop the terms, criteria, and process of awarding funds to successful applicants under Article U by January 1, 2022.
- Both parties agree to promote and to encourage members of the association to apply for funds established under Article U.
